About
Hi! I’m Jennifer, the owner/crafter of Clover & Cloth. I’ve always loved art in many forms, especially the ones that could become hobbies. While trained as a professional clarinetist, I’ve spent an equal number of years experimenting with sewing, beadwork, sketching, and more.
As a child, I loved seeing the fabric in my mom’s sewing spaces. Now I love watching my daughter fall in love with fabric as she helps me sew. We also started a garden together – Clover & Cloth is an attempt to catch the wonder and fun that nature and simple pieces of fabric can inspire!
Techniques
Piecing and Quilting
The basic aspects of many C&C pieces are from traditional quilting. For now, everything except an occasional large quilt is put together and quilting on a regular home sewing machine. Some pieces are traditional quilt blocks, while others came to life as I cut fabric and got new ideas.
Accents
Many pieces have additional accents such as appliqué or heat transfer vinyl. These elements start out as original drawings (either paper or digital). Once I convert these drawings to cut files, I use a Cricut to cut the accent material.
